Old SIP phones deserve a second life
Desks are full of Cisco, Grandstream, and other IP phones that still work — until the PBX contract ends. Softphones help. A handset still wins for all-day calling.
What we launched
LightningArrows Voice is a bolt-in cloud PBX seat at the same entry price as Basic cloud hosting:
- $7.50/month
- ≈ $0.25/day
Order from the cart, get a provision path, point a multiplatform phone at it.
How we dogfooded it
We put a Cisco CP-8851-3PCC on a normal home network (static IP, mask, gateway), opened the phone web UI from a Mac on the same LAN, and documented every step consumers can copy.
Google Voice note
If your number lives on Google Voice, keep the app for texts — but do not expect GV to be a native SIP server for Cisco. Forward or port onto a real SIP path. Voice is that path on LightningArrows infrastructure.
